Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.
Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.
Tai chi has many different styles. Each style may subtly emphasize various tai chi principles and methods. There are variations within each style. Some styles may focus on health maintenance, while others focus on the martial arts aspect of tai chi.
Tai chi is different from yoga, another type of meditative movement. Yoga includes various physical postures and breathing techniques, along with meditation.
Jitterbug, exuberant ballroom dance popular in the 1930s and ’40s, originating in the United States and spread internationally by U.S. armed forces during World War II. Its original freewheeling acrobatic swings and lifts were modified for more conservative ballroom versions. Couples did most versions while holding one or both hands. Jitterbug music—also called jive, or jump—is in 4/4 time with syncopated rhythm.
Zumba is a Latin-inspired, dance fitness class using rhythms such as salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, etc., that is designed to be effective, easy to follow, and fun.
Zumba Gold is a class for older active adults and beginners that modifies Zumba moves at a lower intensity and keeps the FUN!

King Kaeng’s Roating Curry food cart serves a rotating menu in Salida. Primarily focused on regional curries from around the globe. Explore featured dishes including Thai Red, Yellow and Green Curry, Tikka Masala, Korma, Jalfrezi, Saag Paneer, Tom Ka Gai, Thukpa, Bánh mì, Traditional Ramen, Vindaloo, Panang Curry, Massaman Curry, Miso soup and Bhutanese Stir Fry. Wontons, Momos, Kati Rolls, and Teriyaki skewers are just a few to name for the smaller items.
Always served with rice and selection of bread. Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Corn Free, Vegan and Vegetarian options will be in circulation depending on daily specials. Rotating protein options will also be available including duck, pork, chicken, yak, beef, and a wide variety of seafood. House-made sauces and toppings help you customize your meal as well.
